Registration for all families – In order to be fully enrolled, DPS requires that you stop in to fill out student verification forms in August. Please plan to bring any updated immunizations and health appraisals from your child’s physician at this time.

Welcome to Escuela Valdez!
Escuela Valdez is a DPS Dual Language school with “Innovation” status. As an innovation school, Valdez exercises additional and appropriate freedom to control its educational program, budget, staff, time and incentives to ensure that Valdez becomes one of the premier schools in Northwest Denver and serves as a model of successful educational reform for schools across the country.
Valdez serves approximately 385 students in ECE (age 3 and 4) through 5th grade. Our Spanish-English dual-language program operates in ECE-5th. In addition to the dual-language model, the ECE/Kindergarten classes also operate a Montessori model. Class is in session at 9:00am, first bell is 8:55am. School is dismissed at 3:45pm.

Round 1 of the DPS SchoolChoice season for 2016-17 is now closed. Plan on hearing from DPS regarding your student’s school assignment no later than Friday, March 18, 2016. If you filled out your form online, expect to receive an email notification. If you submitted a paper form, you will receive a letter. Round 2 of SchoolChoice begins March 21.
